Futureworks students
see their work in print
Five students from Futureworks' CGI department are enjoying a promising future after being selected to have their course work published in leading industry magazine title, 3D Artist.
The students' work appeared across a double-page spread in the magazine's May issue as part of a feature about the freshest university talent.
Ben Woodbridge, Kirsty Eaton, and Raimi Kalam are studying Futureworks' one year part-time 3D Modelling and Animation diploma and they had their collective 'Group Room' work published in the magazine. Ben Woodbridge's work entitled 'Aint No Grave' was also separately featured.
In addition, Matt Hardman's 'Taj Mahal' piece was displayed as was Karl Smith's 'Year One Coursework'. Both are studying Futureworks' two year foundation degree in VFX and Post Production.
Between them the students used their acquired skills with software such as 3ds Max, mental ray and Photoshop.
Ben Woodbridge commented: "I began the course at Futureworks with very little experience but with the determination to learn the skills needed for a career in 3D modelling and animation. To have some of my work published in such a reputable magazine is a massive pat on the back and proves I'm heading in the right direction. I'm really chuffed with myself."
